As we move towards a more sustainable way of shopping and dressing, we’ve taken to raiding through our wardrobes and repurposing the pieces we’d all but forgotten about. Today the Duchess of Cambridge inspired us to do exactly that when she re-wore an Alexander McQueen gown she first wore in 2011.
Kate’s relationship with the British designer long pre-dates her wedding, in which she wore a dress designed by McQueen creative director Sarah Burton. Kate completed her look with her favourite Kiki McDonough special edition morganite earrings.
From the pale lilac colourway to the delicate pleating, this dress is the stuff of dreams. Unfortunately the custom nature of it means that we can’t get our hands on one for ourselves, but you can shop a similar McQueen gown in black at NET-A-PORTER. Simply click the image to take a closer look!
Alternatively, head to the carousel where you’ll be met by a line-up of similar styles. From Self-Portrait to SHEIN, we’ve got a gorgeous pleated frock to suit every style and budget.
