Frankie Bridge divulges her experience living with her in-laws and says she doesn’t know ‘different’

Frankie Bridge has revealed that she doesn’t know ‘any different’ when it comes to living with her in-laws – and it’s something that doesn’t bother her.

The 32-year-old singer, who lives in Surrey with her husband Wayne Bridge, their two children, Parker, seven, and Carter, five, is not fazed by also being under the same roof as Wayne’s parents, Wendy and Mick.

Speaking to The Sun, Frankie explained: ‘Everyone is obsessed with them living with us, but I don’t know any different. They’ve not always lived with us, but they’ve always been around.’

Be a sheer thing like Frankie Bridge wearing Self-Portrait

We might not have the Met Gala here in England, but the celebs turned out for The Sun Awards in London on Tuesday.

Frankie Bridge joined the line up and looked elegant as ever in a black midi dress which she teamed with lace up sandals.

Frankie’s dress is from Self-Portrait and features dobby mesh sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. We love how the gentle ruching disguises problem areas – not that Frankie has any, of course!

Frankie’s dress is available to buy now at Farfetch so click right to make it yours.

Wendy and Mick moved in when Frankie’s eldest Parker was a toddler, something the popstar referred to as a ‘no-brainer’, particularly because of the great bond they have with their grandchildren.

The former Saturdays star insisted that although they live together, they don’t feel the need to everything as a six.

And in terms of ‘awkward’ moments, Frankie was adamant they are few and far between.

‘I’m not an arguer, I wouldn’t shout at Wayne anyway. But if he said something I didn’t agree with, I would say it in front of them,’ she admitted, adding that she would avoid confrontation ‘at all costs.’

The extra helping hands are useful for Frankie as she juggles a busy schedule, having just published her second book and presenting her Open Mind podcast.

However, the mother-of-two revealed that she didn’t realise ‘you think about your kids 24/7 when you aren’t with them’, amid wrestling working-mum guilt.

Frankie’s second book, GROW: Motherhood, Mental Health & Me explores her journey with maternal wellbeing.

‘I still feel there’s such a taboo in talking about any negatives when it comes to pregnancy, babies and kids. You have to enjoy it all, and if you don’t you’re a failure,’ she remarked.

This wasn’t the first time she has spoken candidly about her mental health and revealed that it’s only been over the last few years that her and Wayne have been talking about how they feel mentally.

She unashamedly admitted that she kept her issues to herself whilst part of pop group The Saturdays, due to not wanting to let her fans – or bandmates down.

However, Frankie was firm in the fact that her band appearances in the former and S Club 8 didn’t trigger her mental health issues – and believed she ‘came out of the womb’ anxious.

It may have been more than six years since The Saturdays went on their break, but Frankie still remains close with girls in the group – Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Una Healy and Vanessa White – and they catch up regularly on a WhatsApp group.
