Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast returned on Friday for a special edition – but viewers were left wanting more.

AJ Odudu, 33, and Mo Gilligan, also 33, stepped up to host the light entertainment show as part of the television broadcaster’s Black To Front series.

The programme previously ran for ten years until 2002 and was hosted by the likes of Denise van Outen and Johnny Vaughan.

The special edition welcomed a slew of stars for various segments, including Usain Bolt and Nile Rodgers, with Love Island’s Toby Aromolaran, Lisa Mafia and Judi Love joining AJ and Mo in the studio. 

The retired Jamaican sprinter, 35, admitted he was ‘speechless’ when Jay-Z introduced him to Beyoncé.

Mo asked Usain if he had ever been embarrassed in front of a celeb, to which he responded: ‘Yeah. Beyoncé. I had a whole conversation planned in my head like, “if I ever meet Beyoncé one day, this is what I’m gonna say.”

AJ, who is renowned for co-presenting the Channel 5 reality show spin-off Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, described her presenting stint on the morning show as ‘beautiful.’

‘It’s been so beautiful. For me, there’s a lot of nostalgia in this show, but stepping into this house felt like me as a little girl stepping into the telly. It’s beautiful,’ she remarked.
