Kirk Norcross has revealed he previously went on four-day cocaine benders but is now three months sober.

The former TOWIE star, 33, who described himself as a ‘general addict with anything’, said he ‘had a big old wobble’ when his father Mick took his own life in January.

Speaking in a candid Instagram video, Kirk said he would spend hundreds of pounds on drugs and believes the addiction came from trying to cope with things he ‘couldn’t deal with’.

He said: ‘So my drug addiction was cocaine, f**king benders every week, four-day benders every week, spending money I hadn’t got…

‘The main reason I used to do cocaine was because there was stuff I couldn’t deal with. I couldn’t give you an incident because so many things have happened.

‘But f**k, I can’t deal with that, I can’t deal with it so I’d get out of my nut thinking that’s going to get rid of the problem. That’s my addiction telling me that.

‘But what I realised now is that problem I had, the reason why I did the drugs, is still there. It ain’t going to go away.

‘So I would go on a four-day bender, spend a few hundred pound a day for four days, missing work so as well as spending money, I’m not earning it. I’m locking myself away in my house.’

‘That problem isn’t just still there, it’s going to get worse because I’m bringing on so much s**t with the drugs.

‘Listen if anyone’s got a little issue or anything, picking up a ticket, isn’t going to solve it.

‘Your head shuts off for that hour, two hours, three hours, four days, whatever you do. But it ain’t solving nothing, as I always say.’

Kirk revealed he was previously sober for nine months before relapsing and struggled again following his father’s passing

He said: ‘Last year I did nine months sober, and I was over the moon. I had a little relapse and then got clean again.

‘Not blaming my dad’s death but I had a big old wobble when dad died. And again I’m three months sober again now.

‘Its mad how healthy you feel in such a short amount of time but give it a go guys.’

The reality star said he is an ‘addict with anything’ and would ‘ruin himself’ with drugs in the past.

He said: ‘It’s all or nothing with me. I have realised I am an addict with anything. I’m an addict with food, with cooking.

‘If I’m doing something, I have got to do it. I would go to the butchers and spend stupid money that I haven’t got, come in cook food that I ain’t going to eat.

‘Drugs – I would buy all the drugs, sit here and ruin myself, near enough kill myself. I am a general addict with everything.’

Kirk’s father Mick, who had been the beloved owner of the Essex nightclub Sugar Hut, took his own life at his home in Bulphan on January 21.

During the inquest, it came to light that Mick was suffering with financial difficulties and sold his Aston Martin, Range Rover and a van, and cashed in his private pension.

His girlfriend Samantha Keahey told coroner Lincoln Brookes: ‘He believed he was being conspired against’.

Kirk told the coroner at the Chelmsford inquest that he had prayed for his father and even bought him some lottery scratchcards to give him ‘hope’ he could beat financial problems and retire.

In a statement read aloud by the coroner, Mick’s partner Sam said Mick had severe money problems and was losing sleep over providing for his family.

He had one bank loan of £1.36million and bridging loan secured against his Essex mansion and another £1million needed to finish a development, believed to be a luxury property near his home.

Mick was introduced to TOWIE as the owner of the Sugar Hut nightclub, the scene of many of the programme’s famous arguments between cast members.

He left the show in 2013, saying the venue’s prominent place in the show had damaged its brand.
