Who’s who in the royal box on Wimbledon Men’s Finals day

The biggest ticket on the Men’s tennis tour – the Wimbledon singles final – saw the Duchess of Cambridge rubbing shoulders with A-list stars and sporting legends this afternoon.  

World number one Novak Djokovic will make history on Centre Court if he can defeat Matteo Berrettini, seeded number seven, during the Centre Court contest, as he strives to match Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal’s grand slam record – they each hold 20 major titles.

Lady Amelia Windsor was among the VIPs in today’s royal box, and looked stunning in a white blouse emblazoned with cherries paired with fashionable sunglasses.  

The 25-year-old model, who is the granddaughter of the Queen’s first cousin Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and 41st in line to the throne, joined Lady Helen Taylor, the daughter of Prince Edward, to watch the nail-biting final this afternoon. 

The society beauty has modelled for the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and designed her own range of accessories in collaboration with Penelope Chilvers. She is signed to Storm models, which represents the likes of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne.

She is also a contributing editor in Tatler Magazine, and reportedly interned at jewellery house Bulgari, during her time studying at Edinburgh University.

Flora is a distant cousin of Prince William and Harry and the little-known royal appears on the balcony for Trooping the Colour each year alongside the rest of her extended family, and often makes an appearance at royal weddings 

The 26-year-old is 56th in line to the throne and is married to Timothy Vesterberg, 26, who she is believed to have had a whirlwind romance with since meeting in May 2019.

She attended Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding to Thomas Kingston earlier this year, although she didn’t make the guest list for Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018. 

The low-key couple live and work in London, where she balances her royal duties with her job as an art consultant.

American former World number one Chrissie Evert appeared in good spirits today as she joined close pal Tracy Austin and other high-profile guests in the Royal Box.

The sportswoman has won 18 Grand Slam singles championships and three doubles titles, having won 157 singles championships and 32 doubles titles throughout her impressive career. 

Evert’s career winning percentage in singles matches is the highest in the history of Open Era tennis, for men or women and she served as president of the Women’s Tennis Association for 11 years.  

Tracy is also an American former world number one professional tennis player. She won three Grand Slam titles; the women’s singles titles at the 1979 and 1981 US Opens, and the mixed doubles title at the Wimbledon Championships in 1980.

The Swedish-born sportsman won six Grand Slam singles titles and three Grand Slam men’s doubles titles between 1985 and 1996. 

The former world number one was ranked in the singles top 10 for ten successive years and has coached the likes of Roger Federer. 

He was joined by his wife Annette Hjort Olsen, with whom he has two children, who donned a pair of aviator sunglasses and a smart cream jacket. The pair have made several appearances at the tournament over the last 10 days.

Earlier today, she joined Michael Middleton to watch the Gentlemen’s Wheelchair Singles Final between Gordon Reid and Joachim Gerard on court three, where she and her father took part in a Mexican wave. 

En route to centre court, Kate chatted to tennis fans and appeared to make the good luck gesture in reference to the England match at Wembley this evening. 

Forced into self-isolation for all of last week, the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club will present the trophy this afternoon, with Djokovic looking to make history by matching Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal with 20 grand slam titles. 

She was first alerted about her contact’s positive test last Friday – after spending most of the day at Wimbledon with VIPs including Tim Henman and Joe Wicks.   

Beulah London, co-founded by Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs and Lavinia Brennan in 2010, has become a go-to label for Kate, who has stepped out in their designs on a number of occasions.

On Friday Michael joined wife Carole to watch the men’s semi-final match between Itay’s Matteo Berrettini and Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz.

The Head of Government Science and Engineering Profession could be seen joining former business secretary Sharma to watch the match on centre court today, donning a navy blue suit and vibrant orange tie. 

Sir Vallance became head of UCL’s Department of Medicine. From 2012 to 2018, he was President of Research and Development at a global pharmaceutical company.
