How Elizabeth Hurley’s gowns all have matching bikinis

Now 56 years old and at the helm of a bikini empire, actress Liz Hurley is never knowingly under-glammed.

Forever with perfect hair and make-up, she seems to waft around the garden of her country house wearing either a ravishing evening dress or a bikini, with little ground in between.

This week she wore a gorgeous yellow Versace dress with sheer panels, followed by a buttercup string bikini.

Her wardrobe of show-stopping frocks and stunning swimwear is so extensive, she can easily twin her outfits according to whatever colour of the rainbow happens to take her fancy.

Indeed, on closer inspection, it looks very much as if some of her brightest bikini ideas have been inspired by her favourite designer looks.

It seems she has a THAT bikini too — the Jessica, £168 from her own label.

Maybe she was inspired by this one-shouldered dress, which she wore in 2013 to watch Sir Elton John receive a Brits Icon award.

Sir Elton’s pal Rod Stewart cheekily described him that night as ‘the second-best rock singer ever’.

Asked to present the Best Supporting Actor award at the 1995 Baftas, Liz stole the show in a hot pink Galliano dress — hopping down the stairs and leaving the audience in no doubt she was bra-less.

Host Billy Connolly spluttered: ‘That should be an Olympic event: jiggling.’
