Donald Trump announced North Carolina Representative Ted Budd is to run for U.S. Senate during the 2022 primaries
‘A lot of you don’t know him that well, but you’re gonna know him probably within a few minutes,’ he said. ‘Ted Budd.’
‘I am giving him my complete and total endorsement,’ Trump said. ‘He will fight like hell. He will fight like nobody fights.’
At the podium, Budd thanked the Trumps for help on his 2018 and 2020 campaigns.
‘Let’s get back to making America great again,’ Budd told the audience.
Trump also took a moment to thank other potential challengers for holding off until it was decided whether Lara Trump was going to run or not.
