Ed Sheeran and wife Cherry Seaborn walk with daughter Lyra in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula

Ed Sheeran has been settling into a relaxed lifestyle in Australia since arriving earlier this month with his wife Cherry Seaborn and their baby daughter Lyra.

And on Saturday, the family of three enjoyed a low key appearance in the small, sleepy town of Sorrento, located on Victoria’s picturesque Mornington Peninsula.

With no entourage or minders in tow, Ed, 30, and Cherry, 28, looked just like any other couple, pushing their seven-month-old tot in a pram during a casual stroll.

Smiling and cheerful, Ed and Cherry took their time exploring the beachside town, which has a modest population of just 1,592 people.

The couple ventured into Hotel Sorrento for a pub lunch, wiling away the afternoon inside the establishment before heading off for a relaxed jaunt.

A pair of fans later stopped the British superstar for a selfie, and he happily obliged, beaming as he engaged in a lively a chat with the local couple.

The Shape of You singer also showed the eager fans his new tattoo, a tribute to late music mogul Michael Gudinski.

Ed had the artwork inked just two days earlier in Melbourne, and it appears to still be in the delicate process of healing.

The singer was joined by Gudinski’s son Matt as they visited Grey Street Tattoo in St Kilda on Thursday, and had matching tributes inscribed on their arms.

The tattoos were simple designs of a hand holding up the ‘No. 1’ sign, which was one of Gudinski’s signature poses in photographs.

Ed and Matt got inked the day after they both attended the Mushroom Records founder’s state memorial at Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday.

Gudinski, who was widely regarded as the ‘father of the Australian music industry’, died suddenly in his sleep on March 2 at the age of 68.

As they continued their stroll, Thinking Out Loud hitmaker and his wife were soon introduced to Victoria’s famously unpredictable weather, with the sun vanishing and the heavens opening.

As rain belted down on the couple, Ed and Cherry made a dash back to their accommodation, where they retrieved an umbrella before plowing on with their walk as planned.

Little Lyra stayed safe under a pram cover featuring a tropical print, which the couple had used to keep her covered throughout their walk.

The publication reported that the Ed and his family, ‘made a narrow escape from rising floodwaters’ in the area.

It was also where the A-Team hitmaker wrote the song Visiting Hours – a detail he later revealed before performing it at Michael Gudinski’s memorial service.

The trio reportedly reached Sydney airport and were then seen arriving on a private jet into Melbourne, Victoria, just in time for Michael’s state memorial on Wednesday.

Ed gave an emotional performance at the memorial, which was held at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.

He sang his hit single Castle on the Hill – one of late music mogul’s favourites – and later broke down in tears as he performed a new song, Visiting Hours, which is about his daughter Lyra.

Ed was visibly emotional and at one point and had to stop singing, before saying ‘sorry’ and returning to the microphone.

He told the audience beforehand: ‘I never get this nervous, I’m really f**king nervous. So apologies if I mess up the lyrics or anything.’

Also on Saturday following the memorial, Ed attended the AFL match between the St Kilda Saints and Melbourne Demons at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

He was accompanied by Michael Gudinski’s widow, Sue Gudinski, as well as his wife Cherry, the couple enjoying a rare date night since the birth of their daughter.
