An Australian mum has revealed her ‘game-changing’ fitted sheet discovery and promises with her simple hack you will never get caught out with ill-fitting corners again.
The 52-year-old woman revealed if the sheet’s tags are on the top left or bottom right corners it will fit perfectly every time.
‘The times I’ve started stretching the sheet across my king size bed to have to take it off and turn it to the next corner,’ she said.

‘All you need to do is make sure the label always goes top left or bottom right,’ she added.
The woman shared the hack on a mum’s Facebook group – but asked for people not to judge or laugh at her for taking so long to work out an easy way to put on sheets.
‘How many of you knew that when putting on bedding?’ she asked.
And it appears mums in the popular group were not aware of the simple bedroom trick.
She was met with a chorus of responses like ‘you are not alone there, and I had no idea, thank you’ from appreciative homemakers.
‘Omg the game just changed, I just recently got a king bed and I’m like why is this sheet not fitting,’ one woman said.
‘Wow this will make the job a lot quicker,’ said another woman.
‘I didn’t know this either and I’m 53 awesome thanks for sharing,’ one more added.
The original poster was keen to see she hadn’t been alone in not knowing the handy hack.
‘I’m so relieved to see I’m not alone in finding this out after years of struggling,’ she said.
‘Legit just did this while changing our bed! I was 39 years old today when I learned this,’ said another woman.
Another woman admitted at 56 she never knew this either but said she also never had a problem changing sheets.
A mother has wowed the internet with her simple four-step method for folding a fitted sheet in seconds – with many dubbing it a ‘game changer’ (pictured)
To begin, place the sheet flat with the elastic side up and flip the top bottom corners and place them into the top corners to create a rectangle (pictured in action)
Previously, Melbourne mum Chantel Mila revealed how to fold a fitted sheet in seconds.
Chantel said her ‘folding hack’ provides a ‘simple way to fold a fitted sheet’ without leaving a crumpled mess at the end.
‘Folding a fitted sheet saves space in storage and only takes 20 seconds. Let me know if you try this one at home,’ Chantel wrote alongside her video.
The first thing Chantel said you need to do is place your sheet flat on a surface like your bed, with the elastic part facing upwards.
Smooth the sheet out so that you are starting with an entirely flat surface with the elastic facing inwards.
After this, it’s all about creating a ‘rectangle’ with your sheet.
‘Flip the bottom two corners and place them into the top two corners to create a rectangle,’ Mila explained.
You can do this by placing your hands inside the corners of the sheet and tucking them into the other two corners.
Once the long sides have been folded inwards, then all you need to do is fold your two short sides inwards too.
This should create one neat rectangle ready to be stored inside your laundry or press.
Mila’s ‘bonus tip’ is that you can keep your fitted sheets inside a dust bag to keep them neat and fresh.
Simply slide the sheet into the bag and secure it with the drawstring to ensure your sheets are crisp when it comes to putting them on your bed.
