Flores said he went to the nearest neighbor to ask if the baby had been left outside mistakenly.

The homeowner told the news station that he immediately took the car seat indoors and called police.
‘How could someone have a heart to leave the child on the side of the road?’ Flores told ABC.
Flores returned to his delivery route when he saw police searching for the baby in the neighborhood.
He then led officers back to the home where the neighbor was caring for the child.
Officers went to the home and reunited the infant with the mother.
According to Houston police, home surveillance video captured a man leaving the baby along the street after stealing a car.
Flores said he went to the nearest neighbor to ask if the baby had been left outside mistakenly. The homeowner said he immediately took the car seat indoors and called police. Flores is seen walking over to the baby after spotting him
The suspect is seen getting into the vehicle and driving off with it on Monday
The mother told police that her baby was in the car when the vehicle was stolen in the 300 block of Sunnyside.
Police said the mother had tried to track an iPhone that was in the vehicle with hopes of finding her child.
Surveillance footage from a neighbor’s home showed at least six cars passed by the baby in the span of 22 minutes before Flores came along.
‘It showed the baby getting dropped off, and the baby was there for about 20 minutes, and there were about six vehicles that drove by, and nobody saw,’ Mirna Garcia said.
‘It was also trash day that day, so we wouldn’t have realized something was there on the corner.’
Authorities said they are still searching for the suspect and the stolen vehicle.
The Houston Police Department is asking the public to call (713) 884-3131 if they have any information that would help identify the driver.
