Strictly’s Caroline Quentin reveals she regardless of whether ‘much less’ what people think of his since turning 60

To do with turning 60, Caroline confessed: ‘I suddenly thought: “I have less time ahead of me than I have the actual rear of me – what am I doing? What do I want to do? ”

‘My children are well and they’re growing up, so I decided to start getting into things that I fancy doing; dysfunctions that I haven’t done before and is a bit of a challenge.

‘It’s almost a mindset, I think. Now i’m not really frightened of much any more. My wife and i care much less about what people think of me (except my family, obviously).

‘As an actor, the customer tend to have to be a bit of a people-pleaser, and i believe that I just don’t really assisting that so much any more. ‘

‘It’s like having an opening nighttime every Saturday night, but I’ve learned that I can forget myself so long to just be there to enliven people.

Asked the actions advice she would give to her younger self, Caroline didn’t hesitate through reeling off her powerful settings.

She said: ‘I know exactly what I’d say: “Stop apologising for who you are and start really being who you are. ” If I had the best time again, I’d stop considering the perception of oneself: the food you look like, how you sound, what you say and exactly you wear.

‘I’d get on with being me and actually in the knowledge that I’m good enough. We women can be extremely tough on ourselves.

‘We screw up, make mistakes, put on weight, take terrible haircuts, buy horrible jumpers – but so what? I’m right now doing that!

‘I’m out and proud with my tight terrible haircuts and jumpers. For my situation my younger self would be surprised the way my life has turned out, seriously. ‘
