People reveal the WORST things they’ve ever done

While many live by the mantra ‘life is too short to live with regrets’ – sometimes it’s not quite that easy.

People from across the globe have taken to Mumsnet to reveal the very worst things they’ve ever done – and while some are full or remorse, others are still pleased as punch – including one who got revenge on her cheating ex by using his toothbrush to clean the toilet.

Others revealed they had affairs with everyone from their best friend’s partner to brother’s pal, while another told how she slept with a random bartender on holiday for a free round of drinks.

Elsewhere, one person recalled how she ‘haunted’ her housemate by breaking into his room and moving stuff around as punishment for never buying ‘decent toilet roll.’

In the initial post, the anonymous person penned: ‘Once I got arrested for being so p***ed I (allegedly) bit a bouncer. I don’t remember. I’m not proud. Please tell me your stories to make me feel better about myself.’

And one of the most common responses among the hundreds of replies was being unfaithful.

‘When I was a teenager I was drunk and stayed at a boys I fancied even though I had a boyfriend,’ wrote one. ‘In the morning I had no way of getting home so I phoned him for a lift and lied saying it was my friends house. I still think about it and how bloody awful I was to him.’

A second recalled: ‘As a student, I had no where to go for Christmas. A lovely friend invited me to stay at her house. I slept with her brother. If that wasn’t bad enough he was engaged.’

Meanwhile, a third added: ‘I s*****d my brother’s best friend when we were teenagers. I feel really bad about it now as we have grown closer over the years and it would ruin mine and his relationship and their friendship. They still talk all the time.’

A further went on to confess how she committed the ultimate betrayal by cheating on her boyfriend with his cousin.

‘I did all the chasing, and chased hard,’ she wrote. ‘Not my finest hour and the fall-out was horrendous. I was 18 and result was no friends as well as no boyfriend, so ended up having to move town to put it behind me. Lesson learned.’

Another told how when she was aged 19, she was so ’embarrassed’ by her ex-partner’s ‘very expensive and favourite shoes’ that she decided to throw them out.

A further spoke of the moment she decided to get revenge on her cheating ex – and has no regrets.

‘Not the worst thing, but thinking about when I cleaned the toilet with a cheating ex’s toothbrush still makes me smile,’ she wrote.

Elsewhere, another spoke of a regret from when she was in her early 20s and commented: ‘I had quite a low opinion of myself and slept with all sorts of people I shouldn’t have. Had sex with some random bartender on holiday for a free round of drinks – I mean, wtf?!’

Among the more random confessions include haunting a housemate and eating the last rolo.

‘Housemate and I haunted our other housemate by breaking into his room and moving his things around, started off subtly with just moving a shoe or some pens and culminated in a pile chairs on his bed a few weeks later, wrote one.

‘We were p***ed off with him never buying decent toilet roll when it was his turn. We finally confessed when he was talking about contacting the local Vicar, and we cooked him a really nice meal.’

A second revealed: ‘I used to have a friend called Rosalind… she was very posh and had tulips planted a foot apart on the verge outside her house.

They were lovely red tulips but i kicked the head off each and every one of them. there was never any consequence for doing it… maybe that’s why i still feel bad 45 years later….’

A further wrote: ‘I ate the last Rolo. It wasn’t mine.’
