Kinzinger responded to Trump on Saturday morning, calling him ’embarrassing’
Kinzinger also said ‘it’s sad, and an utter scam’ about the continued election fraud fight
January 6 is a key date for Trump’s hopes of overturning the election, as it’s the date Congress will count the Electoral College votes.
Kinzinger, 42, has now won six consecutive terms in the House of Representatives, most recently defeating Democrat Dani Brzozowski with 65 percent of the vote in last month’s election.
He hasn’t always been a staunch critic of the president.
He has echoed Trump’s rhetoric about the origin of the coronavirus and publicly supported the airstrike Trump ordered that resulted in the death of Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani a year ago, tweeting, ‘nice call, @realDonaldTrump.’

He was even in consideration to be the next Air Force secretary under Trump.
In recent weeks, however, RKinziger has become one of the most vocal Republican critics of the president as Trump has continued disputing the results of the election.
After Trump put out a video statement on December 2, Kinzinger tweeted, ‘Time to delete your account.’
