Single mum Madeline May from Sydney calls out rude comment about her dating life

A single mother has called out a social media user who left a crude comment about her dating life on her TikTok.

Madeline May, from Sydney, would occasionally record funny videos on the app about life as a single mother who was trying to get back into the dating game.

A recent video she shared revealed the common obstacles she is faced with when it comes to finding a partner, with such issues as married men, endless eggplant photos and orgy invitations.

Someone had commented on that video saying: ‘Single mums are bottom of the barrel… can’t expect a prince charming’.

The single mother-of-two then fired back, uploaded another video targeting the person’s rude comment.

‘I know you wrote this comment to prove to the world that you’re not an overcooked sausage that belongs in the trash,’ she began.

‘But I thought I’d use it as a learning experience.

‘Single parents, single mums, single dads, we’re all just humans who are product of circumstance.

‘We’re just as normal as everyone else.’

Ms May’s video received more than 600 likes with many agreeing with her to a certain extent.

‘Totally agree with you some people are just jerks,’ someone wrote.

‘Kids are part of the package. If he’s using that excuse then he isn’t worth the headache that would come with him,’ another commented.

‘We are not normal at all dude. We have to realise that we’ve lost 50 per cent of the market and 50 per cent of the market is interested in us for the wrong reasons,’ someone pointed out.
