Official voting figures showed Giovanna beat DJ Jordan North by a mere 0.54%, which was the smallest margin between the top two since the show began.
It comes after ITV announced that this year’s I’m A Celebrity has become the most-watched programme of the year as millions tuned in while England was in the midst of a second COVID-19 lockdown.

According to the figures, Giovanna won the viewer vote with 50.27% of the vote, while Jordan received 49.73%.
This tiny margin makes it the closest final vote since records were first recorded, with the second closest being in 2012 when Charlie Brooks won by just 1.2%.
Meanwhile Vernon Kay finished in third place after he received just 26.5% of the three-way vote, before lines reopened so viewers could pick their series champion.
It comes after ITV also announced that a huge 12.1 million viewers tuned in to see Giovanna crowned series champion.

This year’s series also brought in ITV’s biggest audience since 2018 with its launch episode in November, as over 14 million watched the celebrities move into Gwrych Castle.
The latest series of I’m A Celebrity came to a close with a peak of 12.1 million viewers turning into the final, averaging at 11.4 million, up 800,000 viewers on last year.
Following the inclusion of non-TV devices, the total number of viewers for the final reached 11.6 million.
I’m A Celebrity also saw a huge boost from young viewers, with an average of 2.8 million, and 66 per cent of 16-34 year-olds watching throughout the series.
In total this year’s series was the second most watched in I’m A Celebrity history, coming in behind the 2018 series.

The series also began with a total of 14.3 million viewers once catch-up and non-TV devices were included, which is the biggest ever audience for a launch episode in the show’s history.
It’s also the most watched single show of the year excluding news specials, and brought in ITV’s biggest audience since the World Cup semi-final between England and Croatia in 2018.
Much of this year’s I’m A Celebrity was broadcast while England was in the grip of its second COVID-19 lockdown, with all non-essential shops, pubs, restaurants, leisure centres and entertainment venues forced to close.
For the first time in the show’s history production was moved from Australia to Wales due to travel restrictions introduced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The series concluded on December 4 with author Giovanna crowned series champion, beating out DJ Jordan North and presenter Vernon Kay.
Since leaving the castle, Giovanna has been enjoying quality time back with her husband Tom Fletcher and their sons, Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and Max, two.
On Thursday, she shared a glam snap on her Instagram from home as she sipped on a generous glass of wine with her McFly star beau, 35.

Alongside the cosy selfie, Giovanna revealed that she is ‘still processing’ her time on I’m A Celebrity but is ‘very happy’ to be reunited with him.
She even admitted that she has been spending her time ‘watching bits back’ from the reality TV show and has been ‘finding it hilarious’.
She penned: ‘Still processing the last month. I feel so thankful, grateful and honoured to have been a part of such an uplifting, fun and special show!!
