Lottie Moss APOLOGISES for declaring she was a ‘COVID super-spreader’

Lottie Moss has apologised over an ‘insensitive’ video which saw her declare she was ‘super-spreading COVID’ and kiss her friends during an Instagram Live on Saturday.

The model, 22, made the controversial remark as she took to the social media site after heading for dinner with four female pals amid London‘s Tier Two restrictions that evening.

Fans quickly noticed she and her friends were failing to distance or wear masks in the video – with Lottie taking to Instagram on Monday to apologise for her ‘insensitive and dumb joke.’

She said: ‘I just wanted to come on here and say I am so sorry for saying I was a super spreader

‘Someone in the live popped up saying those words and I repeated them as a joke because I am not and would never condone spreading a virus as serious as this.

‘I was out for dinner with four friends, three of which are in the same household and under the government guidelines – as I live alone – I am allowed a support bubble of four.

‘I understand this has upset and offended a lot of people and I want to apologise for making such an insensitive joke.

‘I am still young and dumb and learning. I sometimes forget that I am a public figure and during these crazy and uncertain times I should havee been more careful with my words.’

Lottie made the ‘super-spreader remark when a fan asked if she and her pals were risking spreading the virus during their affectionate video,

One of Lottie’s friends retorted: ‘We’re super-spreaders’ before Lottie added: ‘We’re super-spreading Covid.’

The star was clearly in a giddy mood, she was also seen passionately kissing her female friend on the video.

According to The Sun, Lottie also reportedly said: ‘Don’t let anyone tell you how to act.

‘You’re young, fun and you can have the best time and do whatever you want to do.’

Mailonline contacted Lottie’s representatives for comments.

Under Tier Two guidelines, you can only meet socially with friends or family members indoors (including private homes and restaurants) who you live with or have formed a support bubble with.

You can form a support bubble with a household of any size if you live by yourself – it is unclear what arrangement Lottie has.

Earlier in the evening Lottie was also seen dining with a group of four friends at Marylebone’s Xier restaurant.

The group looked in good spirits as they strolled along mask-free before Lottie donned blue PPE as they arrived at the restaurant and appeared to dine indoors.

Under Tier Two restrictions it is currently against legislation to dine indoors with another household.

If the friends Lottie dined with also comprised two households, she would be flouting Tier Two restrictions.

Two households are allowed to socialise outdoors but must stay within the six-person limit and adhere to social distancing.  However, business dinners are permitted indoors.

During their meal, Lottie took to her Instagram account to share footage of herself and her friends indulging in an array of tantalising dishes.

London’s infection rate per 100,000 people stood at 191.8 on December 6, up from 158.1 the previous week.

The figures put it ahead of regions such as the West Midlands, which are already in Tier 3.

According to the latest figures, the borough of Havering has the highest coronavirus rate in London, with 1,314 new cases recorded in the seven days to December 9 – the equivalent of 506.3 cases per 100,000 people.

This is up from a rate of 321.3 in the seven days to December 2.

The figures have been calculated by the PA news agency, based on Public Health England data published on December 13 on the Government’s coronavirus dashboard.

Britain’s daily coronavirus cases increased by 33 per cent on Friday compared to seven days ago. A total of 21,672 new cases were announced, up slightly from 20,964 the previous day.

The socialite’s outing comes weeks after she revealed she is pansexual during a candid Q&A session on Instagram last month.

Media personality Lottie, who famously dated MIC hunk Alex Mytton, 29, in 2016, made the reveal when one fan asked her if she would ever date a girl.

The pink-haired beauty responded via video: ‘I’m pansexual so I don’t really mind… any gender. It kinda changes every day as well. It depends on who I meet.

A pansexual person is attracted to someone or falls in love with them regardless of their biological sex or gender identity.

Lottie also revealed the meaning behind her cheeky ‘Not Yours’ tattoo on her posterior.

She said: ‘I was dating a guy and he really p****d me off and I went and got a Not Yours tattoo to say f*** you and now we’re broken up.’

Lottie was previously linked to Brooklyn Beckham, shortly before he embarked on his ill-fated relationship with Hana Cross. He is now engaged to Nicola Peltz.

Earlier this year, it was rumoured that Lottie was dating former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Roman Kemp after his split from Anne-Sophie Flury.

Following Chris Hughes’ split from Little Mix star Jesy Nelson earlier this year, Lottie was seen partying with the erstwhile Love Island hunk in Ibiza.
