‘Let’s just say we won’t mind being in a lockdown, I’ll tell you that. It’s been a tough year in many ways but we’ll make up for it!’
Janette went on to explain how she’s heading to Miami to see family over Christmas and Aljaz will not be going with her, meaning they’ll only have two days together.
The couple have not been able to live together during Strictly due to the contestants and their pro dancers being put into bubbles in an attempt to restrict COVID-19.
Janette has been living alone since October, while Aljaz has gone back to their home after leaving the show two weeks ago alongside his celeb partner DJ Clara Amfo.

In October, Janette was asked by Claudia Winkleman how it has been getting used to not living with her husband, who she married in 2017.
She said: ‘You have both lived together for 10 years, but to form your bubbles you are both living alone. How are you finding it?’
Janette quickly replied: ‘I love it! No, I miss him terribly, but we’re doing what’s best for the show. But I’m so excited to start with HRVY.’
Aljaz also previously explained how this bubble system had made it hard for him to see his wife, before he was eliminated from the competition.
Bring on the semi-final! Janette is competing with YouTube star HRVY, 21, in this year’s show
Over: Aljaz danced with Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, with the duo being voted out the competition two weeks ago
Speaking on Decathlon’s The Power of 10 podcast before he was voted off, Aljaz said: ‘We can see each other on a Friday and Saturday in the studio, obviously keeping to two metre distance.
‘But the two of us are so focused, you know, with jobs, so at the moment it’s OK because we’re so busy, but if one of us [were to] be eliminated and then… one of us [would] have to be at home on their own. That’s [when] I think it would get a little bit harder.’
Elsewhere in her candid interview, Janette spoke about how she would feel reaching the Strictly final after eight years competing in the show.
She said: ‘I feel like if I get through to the final, I’m not going to lie, I’m definitely going to break down in tears. To win it would be the icing on the cake.’
Apart: The couple have been in different bubbles since October due to Strictly introducing measures to try and avoid any spread of coronavirus
Although not lifting the Glitterball trophy yet herself, Janette has seen Aljaz dance in two finals and win the show back in 2013 while partnered with Abbey Clancy.
Janette and HRVY have been impressing each week during Strictly, with the duo topping the leaderboard on Saturday night with 29 points.

The dancer and Slovenian choreographer spoke about their ‘tough’ year with Dr Ranj Singh on his podcast
Reflecting on how their finances had been hit by the global pandemic, Janette told the This Morning doctor: ‘Financially it was tough, we did lose three tours this year.’
However the couple tried to remain positive despite their money woes, as Janette said being in lockdown meant she could spend more time with her husband.
‘I think emotionally and psychologically and physically for the two of us to have all this time at home, which was never possible because of the schedule we have, has been actually really, really, nice.
‘We’ve learned to live in our own home, which we never felt before. Now our living room actually feels like our living room.’
She went on: ‘I like the kitchen, I was never friends with the kitchen before and Aljaz has loved just taking time to himself, he hasn’t been online much… he has taken time to chill out. It’s been amazing.’
