So naturally, her brother Mario Falcone has been tuning in avidly and while he delightedly affirmed that she is ‘smashing it’ he did admit he is struggling to watch certain moments with his sibling and her campmates.
He said: ‘It’s not very nice, when you see people pushing her buttons… maybe the way that Shane was last night, it doesn’t sit well with me, especially when he’s the older guy in the group, he should be a bit more mature’.
Mario Falcone weighed in on sister Giovanna Fletcher’s I’m A Celeb stint in an exclusive interview with MailOnline (pictured in 2016)
After Giovanna was elected one of the chefs in the latest challenge, Mario commended her ability to remain her composure when she was being watched by her co-stars and praised her for ‘not snapping’.
For the first time since I’m A Celeb’s launch earlier this month, tensions seemed to simmer last night as the group have been separated and given different roles.
Mario noted that as Giovanna is chef one of the scenes saw a lot of the stars vying around her, yet she managed to remain calm and composed.
He said: ‘I think she’s absolutely smashing it, as a family we are really proud at the way she’s conducting herself, in the trials and just through some of the things that go on in camp, especially last night with the cooking…
Not happy: The former TOWIE star, 32, spoke exclusively to MailOnline about I’m A Celeb, and noted that he has taken issue with ‘immature’ EastEnders star Shane Richie, who he claims was ‘pushing his sister’s buttons’ during Monday’s episode
‘Everyone was sort of watching her like a hawk, the way she conducted herself and didn’t snap and just handled it really really well, I think she’s doing very well.’
On what has been the hardest time to watch, he said: ‘I think [Saturday], when she had a tough day, it’s not very nice, when you see people pushing her buttons, obviously I know it’s hard, it’s a difficult environment…
‘People are missing home, they are all in the same boat at the end of the day, they are all trying their best. So when people are being, maybe the way that Shane was last night, it doesn’t sit too well with me…
Beloved sibling: Mario noted that as Giovanna is chef one of the scenes saw a lot of the stars vying around her, yet she managed to remain calm and composed
‘Especially when he’s the older guy in the group, he should be a bit more mature and a bit more level headed, I’m just glad it’s not been directed at Giovanna so much.’
Giovanna is currently away from her McFly star husband Tom Fletcher and their sons, Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and Max, five, and the mummy blogger and author has made it resoundingly clear that she will deeply miss her family.
On how Tom is coping, Mario said: ‘Tom has got the hardest job, without a doubt. I spoke to him yesterday, and yeah juggling three boys…
‘Plus he’s got his McFly interactive stuff that he has launched this week, plus obviously supporting Giovanna, yeah, he’s got a much harder job than Giovanna has, but he’s doing really well, Tom’s a superstar, nothing fazes that man, I think everyone is missing their mummy.’
Way back when: On his sister’s biggest fears, he went on: ‘I think heights, but then saying that, the first thing was heights and she smashed’ (pictured in 2017)
On his sister’s biggest fears, he went on: ‘I think heights, but then saying that, the first thing was heights and she smashed it, anything else I really just can’t see her struggling, that’s why it’s unfortunate she’s not been put up for trials, because, she knows her little boys are watching…
‘She knows her family are watching, she knows she’s representing all the mums out there, so she’s gonna smash every single thing that’s put in front of her…
‘I think at the moment the biggest trouble will just be the boys, I think she will be missing them, but at the same time she knows that they are watching, and they will probably be loving watching her on TV.’
