A TikTok users has gone viral for his ‘hack’ for changing a trash bag.

He recommends turning the bag upside-town, placing the rim of it around the outside of the garbage bin rim – then punching the top of the bag inward
Chris uses a small black garbage bin and a white plastic shopping bag to show off the technique.
First, he demonstrates how most people would put a fresh bag in, placing the bottom of the bag directly into the bin and pushing down.
But Chris isn’t a fan of that method, telling viewers: ‘Don’t do that.’
Instead, he recommends turning the bag upside-town, placing the rim of it around the outside of the garbage bin rim.
‘What you should be doing is putting the bag over and then pushing it in so there’s no air. And boom!’ he says, pushing down the top of the upside-down bag so it’s now inside the bin.
Mixed reactions: While some commenters are amazed, others pointed out that the outcomes are identical
It’s unclear what Chris means by ‘no air’, since turning the bag upside-down this way traps air inside the bin — though much of it is forced out when the middle is punched inward.
But the same is true for putting in a fresh plastic bag the traditional way, with a person needing to push down the middle of the plastic to displace the air.
Though the ‘hack’ doesn’t seem to actually solve any problem, some TikTok users are amazed.
‘OMGosh this transformed my life,’ wrote one, while another called it ‘life-changing’
‘Wowww I learn something new every day,’ said another.
Others, though, pointed out that it’s ‘kinda the same thing’ and ‘there is no benefit to this, same result int he same amount of time.’
