Price Is Right announcer George Gray, 53, is in stable condition after having THREE heart attacks

George Gray, announcer for the popular game show The Price is Right since 2011, is in the hospital after suffering a total of three heart attacks in the past week.

Gray, 53, woke up Monday morning with chest pains, which progressively worsened, as first reported by TMZ.

After initially thinking it was indigestion, George’s wife of one year, Brittney Green, called 911, and he was placed in an ambulance – which is where he suffered his first massive heart attack.

Once at the hospital, doctors reportedly attempted to put two stents in Gray’s artery, but they failed, one after the other.

After surgery, George experienced a second major heart attack while taking a walk in the hospital.

The Missouri-born game show host and comedian was then wheeled into surgery yet again, where doctors were going to attempt placing a third stent in his artery.

But while Gray was on the operating table, he suffered a third massive heart attack, which prompted his doctors to perform a quadruple bypass.

After the operation, the perennial voice of America’s favorite daytime game show was placed in intensive care, and listed in critical condition.

By Saturday, things have started looking better, as reps for the announcer told TMZ Gray is in stable condition and is now able to talk again.

As for any pre-existing conditions that may have rendered George more at risk for such a scary bout of heart attacks, he claims it to be all genetic.

He said he’s in the best shape of his life, with low cholesterol, thereby alleviating some other common causes for heart problems.

And in a strange turn of events, Gray suggested that he owes his life to the coronavirus pandemic.

If it weren’t for the travel bans and general closures and cancellations worldwide, Gray and his new wife were in fact planning to be in Thailand on an early summer beach trip around this time.

And George feels that if he had suffered these heart attacks there, things may have ended up a lot worse for him.
