Saturday Night Live: J.J. Watt parodies The Bachelor in his first hosting stint

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has made his Saturday Night Live hosting debut.

But it was only made possible by virtue of the fact that the athlete won’t be part of Sunday’s Super Bowl in Miami – which Watt lamented in his opening monologue.

‘Would I really trade hosting SNL for the Super Bowl? Absolutely, I definitely would. I still would. Call me if you can,’ deadpanned the 30-year-old.

In one sketch, the Wisconsin native played the star of a Bachelor-style show called The Pilot Hunk.

The sports star introduced himself to the camera, saying, ‘I’m Pat and I make the plane hurry up. I’m a sky boy looking for my fly girl. Let’s bachelor.’

Then, one-by-one the female contestants took their seat next to the hunk to make their appeal to his affections.

One woman, played by Aidy Bryant, apologizes to J.J.’s character for having ‘brown hair’ but then tells him ‘you should know my mouth is like a vacuum hose.’

Another contestant, played by Melissa Villaseñor, tells him. ‘It’s my birthday today. I turn 30.’

‘Oh, happy 30th birthday,’ replies J.J., before summoning guards to take her away.

On cue, a black hood is placed over Melissa’s head and she’s dragged off.

Another sketch depicted some rather adult Frozen 2 deleted scenes, one of which gives several hints that Elsa might be gay.

‘I don’t know whether we’re heading north, south, gay or west,’ says the character, played by Kate McKinnon.

In another ‘deleted’ line, the comedienne mocks the storyline of the blockbuster children’s animated film, admitting ‘I think the plot of this movie might be really bad’.

And snowman sidekick character Olaf has a ‘second carrot’ in a very inappropriate place in the final deleted scene from the kids’ classic.

And another sketch showed a scene from a fake sports film called Robbie, in which Watt played a star college football player pulling no punches when it comes to criticizing the team’s favorite player, Robbie (Chris Redd).

‘He [ bleep ] sucks at football. You guys want Robbie to play in a playoff game. We’re gonna [ bleep ] lose. He sucks ass!’

Meanwhile musical guest Luke Combs rocked the house with his hits Lovin’ On You Beer Never Broke My Heart.
