Ivanka Trump wears Zendaya x Tommy Hilfiger suit to meet human trafficking survivors

Ivanka Trump dressed modestly in a ’70s-inspired monogrammed suit and matching turtleneck to meet with public officials and human trafficking survivors in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday.

The first daughter looked sleek in a $295 blazer, $99.50 top, and $149.50 pants that were all pieces from the actress Zendaya’s collection with Tommy Hilfiger, Tommy x Zendaya.

Ivanka, 38, wore her blonde bob in a bun at the nape of her neck with tendrils framing her face. She topped off her look with gold hoop earrings and black patent leather pumps.

Her tailored blazer and flared dress pants were a part of the Tommy x Zendaya Spring/Summer 2019 collection, which was the duo’s first of two collaborations.

Zendaya, 23, sported the same monogrammed pantsuit when she took the stage at the runway show that took place in March.

Ivanka opted to wear the trendy suit when she traveled to Atlanta during human trafficking awareness month to tour facilities that help survivors.

The White House senior adviser took to Instagram Stories to promote the visit, which was a part of the Trump administration’s efforts to combat human trafficking.

‘An estimated 12,400 sex trafficking transactions take place in Atlanta each month,’ she wrote. ‘This morning I will visit two safe havens that provide women with the opportunity for rescue, restoration, and a chance to start a new life.

‘I look forward to hearing from survivors and counselors and learning from their stories and experiences.’

She was joined by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and his wife, Marty Kemp, the co-chair of the Georgians for Refuge, Action, Compassion, and Education Commission (GRACE).

Composed of public officials, law enforcement, for-profit and non-profit organizations, faith-based institutions, and experts, the GRACE Commission was created to combat human trafficking in Georgia.

U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler, Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar, and other Trump administration officials were also in Atlanta to tour the safe havens and take part in a roundtable discussion about anti-trafficking initiatives.

The group visited City of Refuge, a safe house near downtown Atlanta, and Wellspring Living’s Women’s Academy, a non-profit that provides specialized recovery service programs to survivors of human trafficking.

While at Wellspring Living, they listened to the stories of several survivors, including a woman named Andrea who went on to become a director of a residential program at the organization that helped her turn her life around.

‘You really represent resilience and strength on a level we will never know,’ Ivanka told one woman who testified, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The first daughter also said the Trump administration is ‘committed to bringing the full force and weight of the U.S. government to solve the horrific problem of trafficking in persons.’

Ivanka announced on Tuesday that the White House will be hosting a summit on human trafficking.

‘On Jan 31st, @WhiteHouse will host a Summit on Human Trafficking w/ state, local and tribal leaders, survivors, NGOs and employers to find new ways to combat this evil industry,’ she tweeted. ‘We are committed to rescuing victims, supporting survivors and putting traffickers behind bars.’
