‘This journey, this race, this insane, crazy adventure we’ve all been a part of… it’s just a full-blown roller-coaster, but it’s the most fun we’ve ever had in our lives,’ Tim gushed following their win.

Channel 10 only needs one person to complete applications on behalf of their team.

This season saw competitors travel across eight countries over three continents in order to get to the finish line.

Runners-up Jasmin Onus and Jerome Cubillo also said they were grateful for the experience.

‘Even though we didn’t come up with the goods, I think we’re still pretty proud of how we went,’ Jerome said.

The competitors all had their fair share of struggles, with teams spread out across cities, making it difficult to know exactly where you’re placed, especially if you hit traffic or arrive at a challenge and there are no other teams.

Strategy doesn't always win: It's not all about the race, with a strategic alliance being created this season that unanimously voted for Tim and Rod in the first compulsory U-Turn vote

At one stage, Rod and Tim’s Monogolian taxi driver took them to the hospital rather than to the challenge destination because they kept telling him that getting there was ‘an emergency’.
