Bizarre five-bedroom house with dozens of PLUG SOCKETS in every room goes on sale for £1.3million

A bizarre five-bedroom house covered with dozens of plug sockets in every room has gone on sale for £1.3million and left social media users baffled.

The detached house, in Middlesex, is advertised as a ‘family haven’ with a ‘bright and spacious entryway’ but makes no mention of the multitude of plug sockets placed haphazardly throughout the rooms.

Screenwriter Toby Davies posted a link to the house on Twitter along with the caption: ‘Thinking about buying this house, but I’m not sure it has enough plug sockets.’

The post has since been shared more than 1,500 times and garnered 341 comments from users speculating what could have possibly moved the previous owner to have installed such an odd electric system.

Each room is plastered in various plug sockets and weirdly placed spotlights which don’t seem to follow any pattern.

Some tried to work out the reasoning behind the socket madness and guessed: ‘Were they running the CIA from the front room?’

Others pointed out the irony that the only rooms in the house which aren’t covered in sockets are the kitchen and bathroom – two areas which usually require electric devices.

The house, which has been put up for sale with estate agent Rightmove, boasts a ‘stunning kitchen with integrated appliances, spot lights and double doors leading to the conservatory’.
