Lily-Rose Depp while joined by beau and co-star Timothee Chalamet at The King premiere in NYC

These Hollywood darlings have been linked since September of 2018, and now they’re starring in a film together.

Both Lily-Rose Depp and Timothee Chalamet made appearances at the New York City premiere for their new film The King on Tuesday night, although they did not pose for photos together.

Ahead of the premiere, the 20-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and French singer-actress Vanessa Paradis revealed that she was ‘intimidated’ by the notion of working with Academy Award-nominated actor Timothee, 23.

The starlet wore a sleek wrap dress for the premiere, which featured one panel of bright pink florals on a black background.

She paired the sexy low-cut gown with simple black pumps and dangly silver earrings, for a somewhat understated look.

Timothee stars as the titular character King Henry V in the new film, and presided over the evening on Tuesday in a simple black suit over a bright yellow-green turtleneck.

On the red carpet, Lily revealed that sharing the screen with the Call Me By Your Name actor in their new movie was ‘nerve-wracking’ because he’s so talented.

She said’: ‘It’s always exciting to work with somebody who you know has given themselves so wholeheartedly to their role and is so invested.

‘It can be nerve-wracking to work with people whose talent you admire so much, but hopefully it can only make things better…

‘It can be intimidating. But I think you can take it like that, or like, ‘How lucky am I to be working with so many people who are so great at what they do, and hopefully I can learn from them.’ ‘

Lily-Rose also admitted it was also daunting having to ‘do justice’ to playing a real-life person. She said: ‘It was really, really incredible. I loved the research process and just delving into who Catherine is as a person.

‘It can be intimidating to play a real-life person, but I think it just adds to the desire I had to do her justice and do as best a job I could.

Also in attendance at the premiere were the director and co-writers of the film, David Michôd and Joel Edgerton.

The Yga Hosers star was the first person to audition for her role in ‘The King’ and director Michôd was instantly blown away.

He said: ‘I was knocked over by just how poised and still and powerful she was. ‘That is not just a testament to her talent, but also to [how] she’s been around the circus for a while.’

Michôd is credited as the film’s director, and also co-wrote it with Edgerton, who also enjoys an acting career in his own right.
