Taking to Instagram, the reality star, 28, shared a lengthy post with fans explaining her reasons behind pulling out the show, after viewers saw the emotional scenes on Tuesday night.
Georgia broke down in tears after she entered the water for the first time for the challenge, which sees stars swim the English Channel in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.

In her post, Georgia bravely showed fans the effects of her recent anxiety while training for the swim, as she went makeup free for a series of selfies.
The reality star explained that years of mental health struggles came to the surface as she spent weeks training for the show, and looking back she doesn’t regret pulling out.
Georgia also explained that after regular sessions with a councillor she’s in a much better place, and credited her family and boyfriend Tommy Mallett for being such a pillar of support.

Georgia wrote: ‘Prob the most honest post I have ever done & prob the worst pics Iv ever posted… I don’t even know how to open up fully as I have got so good at hiding my emotions but I’ll try…

She continued: ‘I was determined to not give up and trained for 5/6 weeks as I really didn’t want to let anyone down… my team , the production & the fact it’s for @su2c.
‘Every day I would find myself crying, comfort eating & I just didn’t want to leave the house… all I wanted to do was stay at home with monkey. I kept trying to be positive and happy but I literally couldn’t

Sometimes you have to be honest with yourself & sometimes you have to put yourself first even if it’s scary!.. now I am so glad I did as I’m in such a clearer mind space… my thinking is so different & I’m now speaking to my beautiful Counciller weekly!

Georgia also shared a sweet snap with some of the stars she had trained with for the show, as viewers saw them face their first milestone of swimming 500 metres in open water.
The star broke down in tears in the opening show as she faced her fears of water for the first time.
Georgia struggled to contain her emotions as she tried to place her nose underwater, and after swimming a few feet emerged from the water in tears.
Speaking after the ordeal she said: ‘I’m someone that battles with anxiety – I haven’t had a panic attack I don’t even know when the last one was, because i learned a really good breathing technique.
‘Now all of a sudden I’m getting told to change my breathing. I hate it I’m scared to go underwater and breathe.’
Painful: It came as viewers saw Georgia break down in tears as she faced her fear of water for the first day of training

As she was comforted by Sair Khan, Georgia added: ‘It was really overwhelming and i came out of there and just started crying. I’m so sick of being s**t one at everything I do.’
Despite struggling with the first hurdle, Georgia underwent weeks of training to get her swimming up to scratch, and openly spoke about her fears during a chat with her mum Mary.
She said: ‘I’m definitely not a natural at swimming or breathing underwater it ain’t a natural thing, when I swim I get a tightness in my chest.
‘The only reason I’m doing this is because it’s such an amazing cause, every time I’m moaning, I think I’m lucky to have my health.’

It comes as James Argent, Wes Nelson and Simon Webbe lead a slew of stars taking on the epic task of swimming the English Channel.
For several stars it’s proven to be ultimate test, as they struggle to overcome their fears of swimming and water.
Viewers will have to wait and see whether the other ten stars will complete the three months of training, and brace the open Channel for the charity relay race.
