Catherine and Michael met back in 1996 at the Deauville Film Festival and later married in 2000 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Dashing Michael first met the Welsh beauty Catherine at the French film festival when they were introduced by mutual friend Danny DeVito in 1998, shortly before he famously told her: ‘I want to father your children.’

According to the Hollywood legend, smitten Michael orchestrated the meet and arranged to sit by the Chicago star who was at the festival promoting Mask of Zorro, and his shock line seemed to work as they married two years later.
