Melania Trump wears a navy suit to meet members of the Special Olympics team

President Donald Trump recently dubbed his wife Melania the next Jackie O, but it looks like she took a style cue from him on Thursday instead of the iconic first lady.

The 49-year-old donned a navy blue suit and a white button-down shirt to join her husband in hosting members of the U.S. Special Olympics team in the Oval Office this afternoon.

The first lady’s blazer $1,395 stretch-wool blazer by Michael Kors and matching pants complemented the president’s navy suit, which he paired with his standard long red tie.

Melania left both her navy jacket and the collar of her dress shirt open, adding a stylish touch to her otherwise buttoned-up look.

Her slim-cut pants were cropped, highlighting her sky-high navy heels that perfectly matched her tailored suit.

The former model wore her highlighted brown hair in loose waves and sported smokey eye makeup, which she paired with a more muted lip.

The first lady appeared to be in a jovial mood, and she smiled brightly when the team gave Trump a navy blue jersey that has ‘USA’ and ’19’ written in white.

The meeting came nearly four months after Trump had ‘overridden’ proposed cuts to the government’s funding of the Special Olympics.

After posing for pictures with the delegation, Trump spoke to reporters in the Oval Office about his campaign rally in Greenville, North Carolina, on Wednesday night.

He claimed to disavow his supporters who chanted ‘send her back’ at the event.

‘I was not happy with it. I disagree with it,’ he said, referring to a moment when 8,000 screaming fans yelled for Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar to return to her native Somalia.

‘I felt a little bit badly about it,’ he conceded, but added: ‘I didn’t say that. They did.’

Asked why he didn’t stop his supporters from chanting the unmistakable message, he replied: ‘I think I did. I started speaking very quickly.’

The chant came after the president said of Omar that she ‘has a history of launching vicious anti-Semitic screeds.’
