On Friday, Pia announced her return to the spotlight, saying she will be appearing on Australian Survivor: Champions vs Contenders.
In a statement, the actress said: ‘I’ve been sitting on the couch for 20 years saying I could win!’
Australian Survivor’s current Champions vs Contenders concept pits people who are ‘champions’ in their field against everyday Aussies in a battle for $500,000.
Pia will join the Champions tribe alongside the likes of Olympic gold medalist Steven Bradbury, Boost Juice founder Janine Allis, and AFL stars Simon Black and Abbey Holmes.

Also appearing this season will be returning contestant Luke Toki, who was a fan favourite on season two of the reality series.
Pia is best known for her seminal role in the 2000 drama Looking for Alibrandi, which swept the 2000 AFI Awards.
The star won Best Lead Actress for her role as Josephine Alibrandi, while co-star Greta Scacchi took home Best Supporting Actress.
While Pia never reached the success of her breakout role again, she did go on to appear in All Saints, The Secret Life of Us, and Wentworth.
