Tenant fights for life after being shot at house owned by comedian Russell Kane

A tenant has been shot at a property owned by the comedian Russell Kane, it has emerged today. 

The man in his 40s was shot in what is believed to be a ‘targeted’ attack in Woodford Green, east London, at 11.10pm last night.   

Officers, armed police and paramedics found the victim with gunshot injuries at the scene and he remains in a critical condition in hospital today.

The property where the man was found is owned by 43-year-old Russell Kane, who regularly stars on Celebrity Juice and I Am Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now.

According to the Land Registry, Kane owns the home, with the current tenants believed to rent it out. 

A spokesman for the Met Police said: ‘Police were called to Woodford Green, IG8 at 23.10pm on Thursday, 11 July following reports of a shooting.

‘Officers, armed police and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man in his forties suffering from gunshot injuries. He has been taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

”No arrests have been made. Enquires continue.’
