Fans have waited patiently for Fizz to return to the cobbles after seven months away.

Jennie made her last appearance as her character on December 5 when Fizz left Weatherfield with her daughter Hope to enroll her in a special school in Birmingham.

The mother-of-two took a break from the show to have her second child Hilda with her husband Chris Farr.

Previously, Jennie revealed she had no intentions of leaving Corrie behind yet she said she would never take for granted the writers may have other ideas one day.

She said on a podcast earlier this year: ‘I do love it. The thing is, you never, never know and I can’t ever take it for granted because [the writers] might have other ideas one day.

‘But for now, I love it and I live in Manchester. I’ve got my life in Manchester and now two children in Manchester.’
