Sheppard singer Amy exposes the fitness posing trick that makes influencers appear slimmer

Health and fitness influencers are followed by thousands of people on social media for updates on their inspirational wellness ‘journeys’.

And while many influencers rake in thousands of dollars for their posts thanks to sponsored content, many of their followers are left feeling inadequate for not measuring up to their seemingly ‘perfect’ lives.

Sheppard lead singer Amy Sheppard is clearly no such fan of the trend – and made her feelings felt in no uncertain terms on social media on Thursday.

The musician took to Instagram to post some very telling side-by-side photos of her posing in her activewear, showing just how many so-called ‘fitness journey’ pictures can be faked.

Clad in a pink sports bra and black tights, Amy, 28, showed off her seemingly toned stomach in one photo, only to reveal what it really looks like in another picture alongside it – where she is not sucking her stomach in.

Amy urged her followers not to fall for the tricks that some people use in their social media uploads.
