Girlfriend of missing Connecticut woman’s husband is asked to NOT attend daughter’s graduation

The girlfriend of Fotis Dulos, who has been charged in connection with the disappearance of his estranged wife Jennifer Dulos, was asked not to attend the graduation ceremony at her daughter’s elite private school in Connecticut, DailyMailTV has exclusively learned.

Michelle Troconis, 44, has been charged with evidence tampering and hindering prosecution in the case of the missing mother who vanished on May 24. Fotis Dulos, 51, faces the same charges and both have pleaded not guilty.

Troconis and her daughter, who is not being named by DailyMailTV, had been living with Dulos at his mansion in Farmington after his estranged wife and children moved out in June 2017.

Jennifer and Fotis Dulos were going through a contentious divorce and custody battle at the time of her disappearance, where she had claimed in court filings that she and her children were afraid of her husband.

Troconis’ daughter attends a prestigious girls’ boarding and day school in Connecticut, where tuition costs up to $70,000 per year. DailyMailTV is not naming the school.

Troconis was arrested in connection with the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos on June 1. She appeared in State Superior court in Norwalk on Monday, June 3 and freed on a $500,000 bond that afternoon.

The school held its ‘promotion ceremony’ for middle school students on June 7 and the commencement was held on June 9, according to the school’s website.

A source close to the investigation told DailyMailTV: ‘They sent out a letter and didn’t allow Michelle to come to the graduation ceremonies. They want to keep it very hush-hush.’

The director of external affairs at the school did not respond to multiple requests for comment by DailyMailTV.

Andrew Bowman, Michelle Troconis’ attorney, did not respond to multiple messages left at his office by DailyMailTV.

On Thursday, Fotis Dulos was seen jogging near his home where he has returned to live after being freed Tuesday on $500,000 bail. As part of his bail conditions, he surrendered his passport and is wearing a GPS ankle monitor – like Troconis.

The source told DailyMailTV: ‘At the moment, Fotis is completely isolated from everyone. He’s been unable to talk to Michelle or her daughter, who he loves very much.

‘He misses his own kids very much and he wants to bring some friends to his house just to have some company.

‘He’s trying to keep his projects on. The property in New Canaan is ready to be listed, it just needs a few things. He’s keeping busy, talking to lawyers, talking to friends.’

Troconis has been staying at a hotel in the area with her family, who have flown in from Florida to support her. She is also wearing an ankle monitor and surrendered her passport after being freed on bail on June 3.

Jennifer Dulos, 50, was last seen dropping her five children off at school in New Canaan, Connecticut at 8.30am on May 24.

At noon, a housekeeper went to her home and did not report anything suspicious. She was reported missing at 7pm that evening after missing appointments in New York at 11am and 1pm.

Police later found dark patches in the garage of Jennifer Dulos’ home which they said are consistent with blood stains. Blood spatter was also found, indicating a ‘serious physical assault’ had taken place, police said.

State’s Attorney Richard Colangelo said at Fotis Dulos’ bond hearing on Tuesday that lab results from police investigators showed that Fotis Dulos’ DNA was mixed with Jennifer Dulos’ blood on a faucet in her kitchen.

Last Thursday it was revealed that a black pickup truck belonging to Fotis Dulos was seen in New Canaan on May 24 – but he was not at the wheel, police sources told the Hartford Courant

The black Ford F-150 Raptor truck, which belongs to Fotis’ home-building company, Fore Group Inc., was in New Canaan on the day his estranged wife vanished but was being driven by a company employee, who DailyMail.com is declining to name.

Police have seized the employee’s phone, computer and his truck which Fotis Dulos was driving on May 24, before switching back to his own Ford Raptor later in the day.

The Fore Group employee is not being treated as a suspect and did not respond to requests for comment. His attorney, Lindy Urso, told DailyMailTV that his client is not interested in commenting and his privacy is of the utmost importance to him.

Urso said on Thursday: ‘My client has cooperated fully with authorities, is not in any way a suspect, and is just looking forward to moving on with his life post-Fotis Dulos.’

The employee was in New Canaan to work on a property that the Fore Group is developing at 61 Sturbridge Hill Road. The home has also been the subject of police searches for Jennifer Dulos.

On the evening of May 24, police said they have surveillance footage of the Ford Raptor being driven by a man resembling Fotis Dulos, with a woman, resembling Michelle Troconis, in the passenger seat.

Dulos was reportedly seen dropping at least two garbage bags filled with bloody clothes, towels and sponges into garbage cans on Albany Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut.

Police seized those items and found that the blood matched Jennifer Dulos.

Norm Pattis, attorney for Fotis Dulos, said on Thursday that Troconis had passed a polygraph test.

‘My understanding is the result of her speaking to the police has ruled her out as a participant in any foul play in New Canaan,’ Pattis told WPLR.

‘And my understanding is she’s taken a polygraph exam on the question of whether she had any knowledge of any foul play or disposal of evidence, and she’s satisfied police in that polygraph exam and she provided an alibi.’

Pattis said Troconis’ cooperation has helped his client.

‘What she’s given us is tremendous things of value and that is she wasn’t aware of any foul play,’ he said.

Pattis has said that Fotis Dulos has an ‘enormous’ alibi, claiming that he was meeting with an attorney at his Farmington home on the morning that his wife went missing and that cell phone and computer records will place him 70 miles from where she disappeared in New Canaan.

‘Mr. Dulos did not cause his wife to disappear and he did not cause her harm. We believe she may well have been a victim of foul play and we have started our own investigation into sources,’ Pattis has said.

Pattis added that he has not seen all of the evidence that the state has on Fotis Dulos.

Law enforcement teams have continued a widespread search across Connecticut for the missing mother.

A pond in the Avon area, where Fotis Dulos apparently forced his children to water-ski against their wishes, was being searched by divers and with sonar scanning.

Police also continue to search a mountain of trash at the Materials Innovation and Recycling Authority’s trash-to-energy plant in Hartford with cadaver dogs.

On Monday, New Canaan police announced a website seeking tips on Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance – www.FindJenniferDulos.com.

Anyone with information on the mother’s disappearance can contact police at 203-594-3544, or FindJenniferDulos@newcanaanct.gov
