Thomas ‘Tommy’ Gilbert Jr, who is accused of murdering his own father, was kicked out of court and dragged out of his trial shouting ‘objection!’ on Monday.
It was just the latest of more than two dozen outbursts the 34-year-old Princeton graduate has made in his trial where he stands accused of killing his investment banker father Thomas Gilbert Sr in January 2015.
On Monday the annoyed Justice Melissa Jackson finally booted him from the courtroom after giving him several warnings over the week to end his interruptions, but later conceded and gave him one last chance to re-enter.
He went off during a testimony by NYPD Detective Darryl NG about how police handle emotionally disturbed people, triggering Gilbert to starting yelling ‘objection!’

He launched a lengthy, nonsensical tirade exclaiming, ‘I’d like to ask to suppress the evidence’ and other unintelligible legal phrases.
‘Thank you, your application is denied,’ Justice Jackson said, excusing the jury for a break and ordering Gilbert Jr to be removed from the courtroom, according to the
Three officers then dragged the defendant out as he continued to yell ‘constitutional court misconduct as well as prosecutorial misconduct’.
Police arrested Thomas Gilbert Sr’s son on a murder charge after they say he went to his father’s Manhattan apartment, shot him in the head after an argument about money, and tried to make it look like a suicide on January 4, 2015
Monday marked the fourth day of testimony in Gilbert’s trial where his own mother took the stand against him and recalled how she found her husband’s crumpled body on the ground in their upscale Manhattan apartment.
Just last week in court on May 29 he was reprimanded by Judge Jackson for his outbursts.
‘It is extremely disruptive. This is my final warning to you,’ she said on Wednesday.
Tommy is believed to have killed his investment banker father in January 4, 2015 in a dispute over his $600 allowance, which his dad cut by $200 and because he stopped paying the Princeton graduate’s rent.
He allegedly killed him by pressing a .40 caliber Glock ‘tightly’ to his father’s head.
Evidence shows that Gilbert Jr had allegedly searched websites including Hireakiller.com and hitman.com.
On the day of the gruesome killing he allegedly asked his mother to get him a sandwich and while she was out, he fired at his fire, then tried to make it appear to be a suicide.
Financial records aired in court suggest that Gilbert Sr. was not as financially flush as some believed.
He was thought to be worth $200million at the time of his death. In fact he had just $10,000 in stocks and bonds, less than $20,000 in cash and retirement funds and some $500,000 in ‘miscellaneous assets.’
It is not clear if Gilbert Jr. was aware of any of this when he went to have his conversation with the older man that day.

Gilbert’s defense lawyer Arnold Levine has asked the judge for a competency exam.
‘He’s the worst she’s ever seen him,’ Levine said.
Over the weekend his mother Shelley Gilbert, 72, visited him in jail and says he began to bizarrely rant about Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein.
That request was denied but Jackson said she’d give Gilbert one last chance and let him back in to attend his own trial.
‘I don’t want any more outbursts in the courtroom whether to the jury, to myself, to the prosecutor or to the witnesses,’ she reprimanded.
Prosecutors say that Gilbert was a spoiled rich kid who became vindictive when his dad slashed his allowance.
But his defense attorney says he suffers from schizophrenia and was in the midst of a psychotic break down when he shot his father dead with a .40 caliber Glock to the head.
His mother Shelley has also spoken about how her son’s mental health deteriorated when he was in the 11th grade and how one symptom of his OCD was that he became obsessed with ‘contamination’.
