Pete Davidson spotted on Staten Island with Marisa Tomei as they film his new collaboration with Judd Apatow

He’s been a reliable fixture on Saturday Night Live since 2014, and now he’s Judd Apatow’s latest comic protégé.

Pete Davidson, 25, was spotted on Staten Island in New York City on Monday as he and Marisa Tomei, 54, filmed a scene for his still-untitled film, to be directed by Apatow, 51.

The film marks his second leading role in a film, after starring in the Sundance hit Big Time Adolescence.

The film is a semi-autobiographical portrait of Pete’s life and family on Staten Island, so the comic was fittingly dressed as he’s often spotted off set.

His casual costume featured an olive T-shirt with a retro design reading ‘Hunt Mushrooms, Not Animals.’

The shirt was paired with black athletic shorts and high white socks with baby blue Adidas flip flops.

During some down time, the Trainwreck actor took a puff from his vape pen.

On set opposite Pete was his co-star Marisa Tomei.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming actress had on a simple burgundy sweater for her scene.

She also wore a pair of high-waisted acid wash jeans and had an array of gold necklaces.

The Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead actress took a seat on the stoop for a phone call between takes.

It’s not yet clear who she’s playing, as none of the character names have been released yet, though Marisa bears a striking resemblance to Pete’s mother Amy Davidson.

The movie, set for a 2020 release, marks Judd Apatow’s six narrative feature as director. (He has also helmed two documentaries.)

His last major project, Trainwreck, similarly focused on a comedian and helped boost Amy Schumer from a successful stand-up to a major film star.

The new film project, which has alternately been referred to as State Island, was first announced in January of this year.

Pete co-wrote the screenplay along with Apatow and Dave Sirus.

The movie is expected to delve into his turbulent childhood, which included the death of his father, a New York City firefighter, in the September 11 attacks.

He was last seen running up the stairs of the Marriott Hotel at the World Trade Center shortly before the 22-story building collapsed.

In a 2015 New York Times profile, Pete revealed that he acted at at school following the death of his father, and pulled out his hair until he developed bald spots.

He also referred to himself as a ‘lab rat’ for doctors and psychologists studying the children of September 11 victims.

During a dual appearance prior to the announcement in January at Los Angeles’ Largo at the Coronet, Pete and Judd joked about writing together at the director’s house.

According to Judd, his daughters questioned him about clouds of marijuana smoke emanating from a balcony where the SNL star was taking a break.

In addition to the two leads, popular stand-up comic Bill Burr was featured in a scene at the house.

The F Is For Family creator showed off a shaved head and a bushy red handlebar mustache, as well as a blue polo advertising a Staten Island real estate broker.
