But Dannii Minogue hit out at the constant rumours she has a ‘rivalry’ with older sibling Kylie on Wednesday, describing them as baseless and ‘really annoying’.

While having her portrait painted by Anh on the ABC series, Dannii vented her frustration when asked how she feels about always being compared to Kylie.
‘It’s so annoying. It’s really annoying. We’re a tight family and we support each other,’ she said.
‘I remember there was a lot of stuff written about my weight and comparing my size and physique to my sister.’
Candid: Speaking on Anh’s Brush with Fame, the 47-year-old singer that if it wasn’t for her ‘feisty character’, the comparisons would have negatively impacted her mental health
‘The general crux of it was, “Kylie is this perfect human being and I’m not,”‘ Danni added.
Hitting out at the rivalry rumours, Danni warned that if it wasn’t for her strong character they could have severely impacted her mental health.
‘I guess I’m lucky that I was quite a feisty character, I didn’t have a problem with it, but everyone else had a problem with it,’ she said.
Honest: Dannii credited her thick skin for helping her to brush off the comparisons: ‘I probably would have had some kind of eating disorder, some really bad mental issues dealing with it – I’m just glad that I’m a strong person’

In the tell-all interview, Dannii also delved into her life and career, and even confessed that she ‘never had a burning desire’ to be a mother.
That changed, however, when she welcomed her son Ethan, now eight, with her then-boyfriend Kris Smith in 2010.

While chatting to Anh, Dannii also recalled the time a magazine threatened to publish a false story claiming she was HIV positive.
Dannii claimed an unidentified journalist threatened to run the fabricated story on her unless she agreed to do an interview with them.
