His journey on Bachelor in Paradise may be over, but Davey Lloyd is still feeling the effects of the show.
Speaking to Hit 105.5’s AB & Ben on Friday, the 29-year-old said he was furious that the show made it seem as though he was cheating on Florence Moerenhout with his new girlfriend, Georgia Cook.
Davey admitted he was feeling ‘pretty annoyed’ by the whole experience, but was ‘relieved’ to finally be able to tell his side of the story.
‘They made it look like I had a girlfriend and I didn’t!’ Bachelor in Paradise’s Davey Lloyd (pictured) has revealed he is furious with Channel 10 for portraying him as a cheater
Sounding clearly frustrated, Davey clarified the timeline of how he first met Georgia, a 21-year-old Instagram model, late last year.
He explained that he returned home the first time thinking his journey on the show was over, and didn’t realise producers would fly him back to Fiji just a few days later.
‘I did not have a girlfriend going on to Bachelor in Paradise,’ he said firmly.
‘I came home [from Fiji] on a Thursday, I went out Friday night, I met Georgia, we met once. And then they flew me back [to Fiji] on the Tuesday.’

He added that despite his ‘great connection’ with Georgia, he still tried to make a go of his relationship with Florence when he returned to the show.
But when it became evident things weren’t going to work out, Davey focused on building a relationship with Georgia instead.
Davey claimed that Bachelor in Paradise’s producers edited him to look like a ‘bad guy’, and he’s been copping a backlash because of it.
Timeline: Davey was sent home from Paradise early in the season, meeting Georgia soon after his return to Australia. He was then invited back on to the show a few days later, but at that time was not in a committed relationship with Georgia
‘I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and it’s tainting how I feel now, because I should be happy, but yet I’m angry,’ he fumed.
‘They edited it to make it look like I had a girlfriend, and I didn’t.’
Davey said that Bachelor in Paradise had turned him off dating shows, but he would still be open to appearing on something like The Block.
‘The only pain you’re going to get is if you hit your hand with a hammer!’ he joked.
