Apology: The designer responded to the hack with a carefully crafted email statement assuring customers that ‘no payment information was compromised’
The hacker advised confused customers to Google ‘Buy Bitcoin’ if they are having trouble transferring the money, explaining that their photos and other data will be deleted after the payment is received.

‘Remember that if during the specified time I do not receive payment – photos and data will be instantly distributed, and your device will be encrypted. Be clever girl!’
Misha, 33, responded to the hack with a carefully crafted email statement assuring customers that ‘no payment information was compromised.’
‘It pains me to say that over the weekend a hacker gained access to our email list and sent out an aggressive email to many of you, using scare tactics to try to access information,’ she wrote.
‘We were alerted to the hack minutes after it occurred and quickly moved to disable our accounts to prevent any further access to email distribution while we investigated the source and extent of the hack,’ she added.
Threats: In the email, which was written in broken English, the hacker claimed to have access to the customers’ devices after installing spyware on the brand’s website
‘We are mortified that such an attack could happen and are treating it incredibly seriously.’
Misha went on to thank her customers for their patience, explaining that she and her team spent the last 48 hours working over the holiday ‘to lock down our systems.’
‘We have received confirmation that no payment information was compromised and we have taken steps to increase our internal security and protection so a breach like this cannot happen again,’ she said.
‘We encourage all of you to delete the email and to not engage with the hacker in any way. We deeply value and respect your privacy and we are devastated that such an attack was brought to your inboxes.’
Misha ended the email by encouraging anyone who has a question to reach out to one of their customer service representatives.
