She told the publication: ‘In America, funny women are allowed to be glamorous and funny, but over here, you’re not.
‘I wear make-up, I have blonde hair — it p****s me off that I’m pigeonholed. You can still look like that and be taken seriously. I’m not a tart. I feel like I’ve been treated like one in the past.’
Emily even expressed her fears she would be mercilessly mocked on panel shows because she was saddled with the ‘blonde bimbo’ label.

She went on: ‘In the past I’ve been scared of panel shows because I always think I’m going to be labelled the blonde bimbo and everyone’s going to take the p*** out of me.’
