Kit Harington talks final season of Game of Thrones on Late Night with Seth Meyers:

Just days before the final season of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO, Kit Harington appeared on Late Night with Seth Myers to promote the final season.

While the 32 year old actor couldn’t say much about the final season, which spans six episodes that kick off Sunday, April 14, he did talk about his reactions to the final scripts.

He also revealed this year’s April Fool’s Day prank on his wife, former Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie, while commenting on his new clean-shaven look.

Harington was wearing a black on black suit with no tie for his appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where he was asked about the highly-anticipated final season, though he couldn’t say much.

‘Of course,’ he said when asked if there are going to be ‘palpable moments. ‘It’s gonna be a terrible last season. I’ve been deadpan. I can say that. There are definite big moments.’

He also shared a few details about getting all of the scripts for the final season for the first time, just days before the final table read.

‘There was a big temptation to skip ahead, cause no one wants to know what happened more than we did,’ Harington said.

‘I stopped myself, they came three days before the read through. I became like a litmus test for the season. They put a camera on me and saw my reactions,’ he said.

His appearance on Monday night came just days after he hosted Saturday Night Live, in the same building Late Night with Seth Meyers is taped.

‘I spent like 4 days straight in this building without getting fresh air but it’s great to be back,’ Harington joked.

The actor added that his appearance on SNL marked, ‘the first reason I’ve had to shave in a long time, and I feel like a tired child,’ he said.

The Game of Thrones Season 8 red carpet premiere was also held in New York City, just down the street from Rockefeller Center, with Harington revealing he could hear the crowd cheer for his cast mates during rehearsal.

‘It was bizarre,’ Harington said. ‘On the Wednesday, they had a read through, and during the read through, I could hear the cheers from my cast mates arriving. I was sitting next to Lorne and I was saying, “I think I have to leave.”‘

Harington and his wife Rose Leslie made headlines last year, when, for April Fool’s Day, he placed a prosthetic version of his own head in their fridge, but this year was more tame.

‘I’m aware this is the most first-world April Fools,’ Harington began. ‘She has a favorite almond milk, and I wrote an article that this company who made her favorite almond milk was going under thanks to Brexit.’

‘So she went to my PA and ordered this almond milk in bulk, on my credit card,’ he added of his backfired prank.
