Courtney, who is also known as Shane Jenek, has been open in the past about her attraction to more than one gender.

‘I’ve seen attraction manifest itself in so many fascinating ways. Lots of straight-identifying men have been attracted to me as Courtney,’ the star disclosed.

‘I’ve also had experiences as Shane with men who identify as straight. I’ve had boyfriends I’ve dated whom I met as Courtney, but then dated as Shane. Courtney can certainly act as a glamorous stepping stone across the pond.’

‘When it came to having sex with men, there was no education. There were no queer role models, no gay role models, no gay people on television. Nothing’

In fact, Courtney revealed she was naïve about sexual health, having had no formal sex education.

‘When I first had sex with a man, I was 18 and I thought, ”Well, I’m not going to get pregnant, and he’s not going to get pregnant, so we obviously don’t need condoms”,’ she told the publication.

Before the show launched, she said: ‘In 2018 we know that sexuality is fluid and sharing the stories and experiences, the laughter and the love making, of young bi people is so important.’

Now, Courtney has taken center stage as a sex educator, often sharing posts on social media in a bid to educate and inform others.

She is set to appear on Ten’s Dancing With The Stars
