Timothee Chalamet may be one of the hottest young stars in Hollywood but judging by a hilarious
Startled flight flight passenger @alankruthahaha posted a stream of comedy tweets detailing several hours she spent in the company of the Call Me By Your Name actor.
After recognizing the 23-year-old rising star as the passenger sharing her row in economy on a recent flight, fan Alankrutha decided to document the entire encounter, much to Twitter’s delight – even sharing a blurry selfie to back up her story.
She wrote: ‘Working on 4 hours of sleep, I am ready to tell everyone how I met Timotheé Chalamet and how we are (probably) friends now?!?!?’

Swoon! After being undecided as to whether her co-passenger was actually the Call Me By Your Name star, Twitter user Alankrutha decided to strike up a conversation…and much to her delight Chalamet responded with 60 minutes of chat
The young star, 23, was described by Alankrutha as ‘pure’ after they shared an hour-long chat. She revealed her first question to him was ‘Why are you sat in economy?’
As the plane taxied off the runway, Alankrutha messaged friends alerting them to the fact that the ‘dude’ next to her was the ‘same height’ and had the ‘same voice’ as Chalamet
After realising she was potentially sat next to the heartthrob on the three-hour flight, the starstruck fan began Whatsapping her friends, saying he has ‘same height’ and ‘same voice’.
In a string of funny tweets, the air passenger then revealed how they finally got chatting – and didn’t stop for most of the journey.
She explained: ‘flight takes off and head is exploding bc I *had* to know who this dude so 30 mins into the flight, I work up the courage and nudge him and ask “Hey you look exactly like Timothee Chalamet” to which he smiles and says “I GET THAT A LOT”.
The pair relaxed into conversation with Alankrutha, talking about whether he’d ever met Beyoncé, how they could Facetime Steve Carell and his height – she hadn’t expected him to be so tall.
‘Do you want me to Facetime Steve Carrell?’ The actor, who became the youngest ever to be nominated for an Oscar following his role in 80s love story Call Me By Your Name, shared details of his celebrity pals
The doting fan also revealed her shock that he seemed interested in her job in project management.
She wrote: ‘What shocks me the most is this dude wanted to know about me. He asked me what I do, what project management is about (literally who cares timothee), where I grew up and PRONOUNCED MY NAME RIGHT.’
Chalamet is hotly-tipped to be the next big thing in Hollywood after becoming the youngest best-actor Oscar nominee in almost 80 years.
Last year, he told Harry Styles – in an interview for i-D magazine – that he hoped he would represent a new form of masculinity on screen which has evolved since he and Harry were growing up.
He said: ‘I want to say you can be whatever you want to be. There isn’t a specific notion, or jean size, or muscle shirt, or affectation, or eyebrow raise, or dissolution, or drug use that you have to take part in to be masculine.’
