Coleen Rooney ‘escapes injury after being involved in horror car crash’

Coleen Rooney has reportedly been involved in a car crash in Washington DC, according to The Sun

The mum-of-four, 32, was said to not have been injured in the crash however her Honda 4×4 was reportedly left in ruins.

The accident is said to have taken place close to where she lives with husband Wayne Rooney, 33, and their children, Kai, nine, Klay, five, Kit, three, and Cass, eleven months.

A source told the publication: ‘Coleen ended up having a bad smash when she was driving the family car. 

‘Luckily Coleen escaped without a scrape on her but the motor was a mess. One side of the car was completely caved in. She couldn’t drive it away and it looked like a total write off. 

‘Obviously she was shaken up at the time but Coleen was just thankful no one was hurt.’

Coleen is said to have later joked about the crash with her friends, saying it meant she could purchase a new car.

The insider added that the WAG prefers ‘pricey Range Rovers’ and getting a new vehicle would be a small silver lining to the awful experience.

Coleen moved to Maryland in the US last September after he signed with football team DC United.

Wayne signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with with D.C. United in June. Coleen is said to be loving her new life across the Atlantic.

A source recently told The Mirror: ‘Coleen looks to be loving life in the States. Back at home she gets recognised everywhere, but here she goes about her business without being stopped. It’s like she has a normal life back.’

Last month, Coleen proudly took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of her three eldest sons going to school in America for the first time.

Wayne announced that he had signed with US team D.C. United in the summer, with the footballer reportedly earning a staggering £300,000-a-week from the move.

Coleen also took to Instagram to mark the moment and excitedly announced: ‘Wishing our Daddy and my Wayne all the luck, happiness and success in America!!! It’s a move we are going to do as a family.’
