Perrie Edwards wants private dance lessons from Strictly’s ‘sexy firecracker’ Katya Jones

They were paired together for Little Mix‘s quirky performance on Strictly Come Dancing‘s semi-final results show.

And professional dancer Katya Jones seemed to make a lasting impression on Perrie Edwards, as the singer, 25, was seen asking her for ‘private dance lessons’ on Sunday night.

Calling the show’s controversial star a ‘sexy firecracker’, Perrie playfully enlisted the help of Katya to perfect her own moves, after briefly dancing with her while performing hit single Woman Like Me on the BBC series.

It was a tense evening on Strictly Come Dancing last night as we reached the semi-finals, but thankfully Little Mix were on hand to get us up on your feet as they performed their latest single.

Of course we expected the girl band to dress co-ordinately and they didn’t let us down. However it was Perrie Edwards that stood out for us as she graced the dancefloor in a Silvia Tcherassi bodysuit.

We’ve got stylists Zack Tate and Jamie Mcfarland to thank for bringing this bodysuit to our attention, which in designed is a gorgeous light brown shade. What’s more, we love the regal aesthetics of the leg-of-mutton sleeves, wrap over silhouette and satin finish which make for a unique look.

Little Mix took to the floor on Sunday night’s results show and made history with their performance as it was the first time on Strictly where all the dancers and band had all been women.

The move mirrors the theme of female empowerment in the girls’ track Woman Like Me and throughout their new album LM5, with Little Mix revealing they were ‘so excited’ to set a new precedent.

Their performance not only saw them showcase their vocal talents, but their dance moves too, as they each teamed up with a professional dancer for a short section of their track.

Perrie and Katya were paired together, with dancer Katya later revealing on Twitter she was thrilled to have danced with the blonde songstress – prompting Perrie to suggest the duo reunite.

Katya penned: ‘It was great to perform with @LittleMix! Even got to dance with Perrie!! Thank you ladies and love this song as well!!!’

On seeing her tweet, Perrie responded: ‘You’re a sexy little firecracker! When do my private dance classes start?! Perrie <3.’

Her support will have undoubtedly been welcomed by Katya, who has found herself at the centre of controversy on Strictly this series.

She had been partnered with comedian Seann Walsh, but the duo fell out of favour with the public after pictures surfaced of the pair locked in a passionate smooch following a boozy trip to the pub.

Seann had been in a five-year relationship with ex-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries at the time, while Katya is married to fellow Strictly professional Neil Jones.

Stand-up star Seann branded the kiss, that happened on Rebecca’s birthday, a ‘mistake’ while Katya apologised for the ‘hurt’ their actions had caused, but insisted her marriage to Neil is ‘absolutely fine’.

She is set to reunite with Seann for Strictly’s final, but has reportedly been axed from the show’s live tour along with husband Neil, after show bosses were accused of ‘double standards’.

It’s understood that Seann’s controversial kiss with Katya cost him his place on the tour because the ‘cheating’ doesn’t fit the ‘family-friendly’ brand of the BBC series.

As fans questioned why Katya was still allowed to be involved, it has now come to light that both she and Neil have been overlooked and will not feature.

The official line-up will see show favourites Stacey Dooley, Ashley Roberts, Dr. Ranj Singh, Lauren Steadman, Joe Sugg, Graeme Swann and Faye Tozer take part in the 19 date roadshow from January 18, 2019.

The seven celebrities are to be paired with their respective dance partners from the current series – Aljaž Skorjanec, Pasha Kovalev, Janette Manrara, AJ Pritchard, Dianne Buswell, Karen Clifton and Giovanni Pernice.

Instead, Katya and Neil have announced their own show; SOMNIUM: A Dancer’s Dream that kicks off in June 2019.

Little Mix, meanwhile, had been guest performers on Strictly’s semi-final, which later saw Lauren Steadman become the eleventh celebrity to leave the show.

She was voted out of the competition by the judging panel, after going head-to-head with Ashley Roberts in the dance-off. For Ashley, it had been the third week in a row she was in the bottom two.

The former Pussycat Doll has faced criticism from viewers for her dance background, with many claiming she has an ‘unfair advantage’ compared to the celebrities that are complete amateurs.

She has, however, had the support of head judge Shirley Ballas who insists Ashley is ‘not a professional dancer’ and has to train just as hard as the other contestants.

As she and Lauren went head-to-head, the Paralympic athlete’s passionate tango to Tina Turner’s Nutbush City Limits with professional dancer AJ Pritchard wasn’t enough to save them.

Ashley and her dance partner Pasha Kovalev chose to perform their American Smooth to Ain’t That A Kick In The Head by Dean Martin.

The judges vote was unanimous meaning Lauren narrowly missed out on a place in Strictly’s live final, but happy with her time on the show, told host Tess Daly: ‘I have absolutely loved my Strictly journey and it has been so much more than anyone ever tells you it’s going to be and that you thought it would be.

‘Down to the smallest things; I mean outfits, hair, makeup, this man [referring to AJ], the judges, all the choreographers. It’s just… I can’t tell you just how magical it is.’

AJ then gushed: ‘Lauren has been fantastic. Honestly at the beginning of the series I couldn’t have expected to make the semi-final which was just beautiful but honestly I’m so proud of you as a person. You have changed so many people’s opinions and it has always been about ability not disability.

‘You have attacked everything, you have always been stubborn, you have always been “I will be able to get this lift” even though it’s not going to work but we’ll get there somehow by Friday and Saturday. But for me honestly it’s been a fantastic journey and you’ve done yourself proud.’

Ashley joins Faye Tozer and her partner Giovanni Pernice in the final, along with Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell, and Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.
