Brushing it off: It was at another recent album signing in Manchester that saw Katherine and her Carousel co-star Alfie at loggerheads
Tenor singer Alfie, who is best known for starring in the musical production of Les Miserables, is claimed to have fallen out with Katherine while the duo – who are both signed to British label Decca – were both appearing in musical Carousel in 2017.
Reports alleged Katherine and Alfie had clashed during rehearsals, with Alfie being left annoyed over ‘Katherine receiving the biggest dressing room’ and initially being given the final bow despite him playing the lead part in the production.
He had starred as charming carousel worker Billy Bigelow, who Katherine’s character Julie Jordan falls for in the show.

The mother-of-two — who raises children Aaliyah Reign, three, and Xander Robert Selwyn, seven months, with her American artist husband Andrew Levitas, 41 — first showcased her vocals on her debut album Premiere which was released back in 2004.
Now Katherine believes her pregnancy has altered her voice for the better as it makes the sound ‘louder’ and ‘deeper’.
She said: ‘When I look back to the very first album, I was 23. My voice has changed a lot as I have matured.

‘Definitely through pregnancy, it makes a huge difference. It makes the voice louder, deeper.
‘It’s actually in its best form when you’re pregnant, a lot of my friends told me to expect that. It’s a shame actually that it goes back to normal afterwards.’
Marking the release of her new album Guiding Light, Katherine told how she brought her son Xander to the studio with her when he was just two months old for her recording sessions.
She said: ‘He was about two, three months when I took him in. He was little and so portable I could take him into the studio with me and put him in the car seat and sing to him.’
