It’s been 25 years since Hugh Grant’s lovable Charles fell for Andie MacDowell’s elegant Carrie in Four Weddings and a Funeral.
And to celebrate the milestone, it’s been announced Hugh, Andie and the rest of the cast are reuniting to film a short film follow-up to the beloved 1994 movie.
The film will air during Red Nose Day in 2019, following on from the huge success of the Love Actually reboot last year.

Leading man: Hugh Grant, 58, (pictured left in the film and right now) will reprise his role as hopeless-in-love Charles who falls for Carrie throughout a series of weddings with his pals
Richard Curtis says of the reunion: ‘ We’re all definitely older – I suspect no wiser. It’s been really enjoyable working out what’s happened to all the characters – and now they get back together for the 5th wedding. Where, as usual, not everything will go as planned.’
The original film ended with Hugh’s Charles finally getting together with Carrie, played by Andie, after calling of his wedding to Henrietta/Duck Face (Anna Chancellor).
There will be a notable absence from the cast though as sadly Charlotte Coleman who played Charles’ sister Scarlett died in 2001.
