Russian society beauties at Tatler’s Debutantes’ Ball in Moscow

Resplendent in breathtaking ballgowns, the next generation of society beauties gathered to make their formal debut at the Tatler Debutante Ball in Moscow on Monday night. 

The young women, daughters of some of the country’s most influential movers and shakers, showcased their wealth in stunning couture and extravagant jewellery.

Guests included Polina Rybakov, daughter of billionaire entrepreneur Igor Rybakov, and Leonela Manturov, 23, daughter of Russia‘s Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov.

The event, launched by society bible Tatler in 2008, attracts Russia’s mega-rich elite and follows in the tradition of British and American debutante balls.

However unlike international events, young women making their debut in Moscow are not required to wear white gowns.

Many of them finished their ensembles with necklaces, bracelets and earrings heavy with diamonds and colourful precious gems. 

The group was led onto the dancefloor by Maria Konchalovsky, daughter of film director Egor Konchalvosky, who looked beautiful in an elaborate lilac gown with intricate floral detailing on the skirt and train.

Like her fellow debutantes, the brunette beauty carried a delicate white lace fan in her right hand.

Elsewhere Miss Manturov opted for a green and pink strapless brocade gown, which she wore with three strings of diamonds around her neck and showstopping drop earrings. 

Meanwhile Miss Rybakov, whose father Igor has an estimated £925million ($1.2billion) fortune, kept it simple in a silver satin number. 

The father and daughter were the picture of happiness as they posed for a photo at the glittering event.
