A 22-year-old Florida man has been ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from his mother at all times when he leaves police custody after being charged with domestic battery related to a dispute that began with a sausage feast.
Hermes Callejas-Gasperin was arrested and charged for the abuse at their home in Bradenton Monday, after he lashed out at his 41-year-old parent over dinner, reports The Smoking Gun.
The incident took place around 8pm when the accused got angry when his mother asked him ‘to give her a few minutes due to being busy’ before she whipped up a meal, states a document from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

It escalated when the unemployed man hurled the contents of a can at the victim after she ‘bumped’ into him as he ate in the kitchen.
The probable cause statement says one of the wieners hit the victim in her right eye and she was allegedly assaulted more when he pushed her backwards and she ‘did not fall over’.

He also placed his hands around her neck without restricting her breathing.
‘The defendant stated that he got mad, so he threw the remaining sausages at her,’ the document explains. Callejas-Gasperin said he would not have reacted that way if his mother ‘said sorry’.
Callejas-Gasperin’s reported actions did not result in injury in the woman’s eye or neck area. However the document that declares he violated the Florida State Statute notes his mother had taken pictures of bruises on her arms and legs she obtained from a separate altercation with him.
The misdemeanor saw him locked up in county jail where he remains on a $750 bond. When he gets out he must obey the rules of a restraining order.
It’s not the first time the adult man has been in trouble for roughing up a parental figure.

Callejas-Gasperin was taken into custody earlier this year after a physical altercation with his stepfather.
After being found smoking weed on his front porch, the scrap led to him pleading no contest to misdemeanor marijuana possession and resisting police charges.
A June rap sheet from the Sarasota Police Department states he was arrested for trespassing after failing to leave a property upon request of the owner.
