This is the beautiful moment Jorge the dog is reunited with his owner after three years of being lost.
Giorgi Bereziani, 62, thought he had lost his beloved companion forever before an opera house worker called him and said a dog that looked like his was outside their building.
He had spent three years combing the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia for Jorge, putting up ads begging for help, all without success.
The moment Jorge the dog realised it was his owner that had called his name in Georgia
Upon receiving the call, he took the bus straight to the dog, called his name and shared a beautiful embrace after Jorge recognised him after all that time.
In the video, Giorgi can be heard calling the dog’s name and his ears perk up when he realises it is his owner.
Sniffing at the owner, Georgi’s dog throws his front paws at him and begins to whimper, as if in disbelief.
‘Jorge, is that you?’ Jorg Jorge, it’s you! Oh, dear boy, how are you, boy? ‘ Giorgi says, beside himself with excitement.
Giorgi and Jorge were overjoyed to be reunited and embraced lovingly in the streets of Tbilisi
The pair then take a ride home where Jorge is re-introduced to more family members who are beside themselves with joy as the dog jumps all over them.
The yellow tag on the dog’s ear, which can be seen in the video, means that the dog was taken from the streets by animal control workers at some point, but it was considered harmless to society, so was vaccinated and released.
Jorge the dog yelped and smothered his owner in love after his three-year stay on the streets
The lovely scenes occurred on October 7, 2018 in Georgia and have warmed hearts online.
C Doolen commented on YouTube: ‘I cried as the dog did…wow…. thank you…. please let them stay safe for ever.’
