FEMAIL rounds up the week’s fashion highlights

When it comes to fashion, we are all inspired by what we see; whether it be a well-dressed celebrity, a blow-your-mind catwalk presentation or even a super stylish every-day passerby.

As fashion editors, we’re moved by all of the above, and then some. We’re exposed to under-the-radar labels; we get a first-hand look at collections months before they hit stores; we’re tapped into brands with chic-yet-cheap offerings and we shop – a lot.

To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest, greatest and on the verge. We hope this Friday series will serve as a buying guide and point of inspiration for the clotheshorses and fashion fanatics alike.

The non-profit organization focuses on critical issues unique to cancer patients – including fertility challenges that may follow after surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and drug treatment.

Their mission is to ensure cancer patients have a fertility future by educating the community about preservation options and working directly with healthcare practices to provide monetary need-based grants to cover the cost of preservation.

The evening’s cocktail reception included light bites, a yellow carpet for picture taking, and a full bar.

During the main event, founder Amanda Rice, who was diagnosed with cancer three times before the age of 40, gave a touching speech about her personal struggles with the disease and revealed that her fertility preservation coverage was denied by her insurance company.

Amanda’s moving speech was followed up by Chick Mission board member Tracy Weiss who got the crowd riled up to donate for the cause.

They raised $124,883 exceeding their goal of $100,000.
